That means I can only record "most likely to be" in many cases for the civilian identity John Moore was born in Mildenhall (1st qtr 1875 MILDENHALL 4a:549) son of John and Mary MOORE (née AVEY) 1881 census...Aged 7, he was in West Row with his father John MOORE [37] market gardener; his mother Mary [35]; sisters Sarah [17], Annie [15], Emma [13], Sophia [12] and Kate [4]; brothers William [10], Joseph [2] and George [4 months]. All were born in Mildenhall. 1891 census...Aged 18, he was a Driver in the Royal Artillery at the Royal Artillery Barracks, Woolwich Dockyard. His father was at Weston Ditch Road, Mildenhall with his sister Kate, brothers Joseph, George and Isaac [8]. The rest of the family have not been found. |
