"WESTON COLVILLE ROLL OF HONOUR"

To the eternal memory of the men of WESTON COLVILLE who died in the service of their country
Nineteen in the Great War of 1914-1918 and one in 1939-45



Inside St.Mary's church, Weston Colville is a wall mounted roll of honour. A stone plaque topped with a depiction of what appears to be the castle that forms part of the Cambridgeshires regimental badge. The dedication reads:-
TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND IN HONOURED MEMORY OF
THE MEN OF THIS PARISH
WHO DIED IN THE GREAT WAR
1914-1918
Then are inscribed in blackened uppercase letters the Rank, Forename Initial Surname battalion and regiment of the men in what appears to be random order, as under

Beneath the list of names is the dedication: "THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE".

Just below the frame of the plaque is a small tablet inscribed
AND IN THE WAR 1939-1945

2ND CAMBRIDGESHIRE REGT

Two of the men, George WATTS and Oliver WORMALD are buried in the Churchyard of St Mary's, Weston Colville.

Within the church is a badly faded roll of honour listing the 84 men who served.
