Ivan Terence Hazell was born in Lidgate (Newmarket Q3-1925 3B:733) son of Frederick and Beatrice HAZELL (née CHARVILLE).
In the 1939 register, at 3 Council Houses, Lidgate were his father Frederick Arthur Hazel [1-6-1893] farm labourer; mother Beatrice A [1-6-1897] and brother Eric [21-4-1922] farm labourer. There are 3 closed records. Ivan himself has not been found in the register. He was too young in 1939 to have been in the Armed Forces, so this remains a mystery. The cause of his death is not known and considering his age, it would appear that he was still under training and had not served abroad. |
