In 1908 he married Lizzie CATLING [14-7-1885] from Kedington. 1911 census...Aged 27, boot maker, he was at Nethergate Street, Clare with his wife Lizzie [26] born Kedington; son Alec John [2-11-1908] and daughter Marjorie Evelyn [9-5-1910], both born in Clare. The pension card has his family at Church Street, Clare and records another son, Kenneth George [23-1-1917] |
He enlisted in Clare.
He died in 46 Casualty Clearing Station, 7 miles from Abbeville, the result of the bronchial pneumonia.
